I guess you could say I have a love/hate relationship.
I love food.
They hate me!
I wished I could be one of those people who could eat whatever I wanted and have it never leave its mark on me…but alas, that is not the case. I eat an M&M and it shows up on my forehead the next day. I love pasta, so you can probably imagine what my butt looks like.
I used to weigh 90kg (198lbs) but I lost about 30kg (66lbs) when I started walking to and back from work (35 minute each way), I ate smaller portions (easy – as I was living in Japan, restaurant portions aren’t big), I stopped eating fast food (this coincideded with me reading Fast Food Nation). I was able to maintain this weight for about 2.5 years…but recently they have started creeping back (not slowly either – think 10kg in a year). I heard one of my friends (who’s a dietician) tell someone else that a lot of the time, people lose weight, they can even keep it off for a while…but after two years is the real test. I guess I’m well on my way to failing.
I’m getting back on the wagon and I’m going to track my journey! If you’ve got idea, food tips, exercise ideas (especially in winter!)…please share with me!
