Day 1 on the 21-Day Wonder Diet

Today was Day 1 on the 21-Day Wonder Diet.   It really wasn’t as hard as I thought it’d be…I was actually excited to start, I must say, I DID cheat though, but only because I was home all day, and didn’t get up to much.  If I was at work…or really busy, I probably wouldnt’ have gone hunting for food.

I stuffed up in the morning and cut myself up more fruit than I was supposed to, but thankfully, halfway through eating, I felt full, so I stopped eating, so I didn’t actually go over what I was supposed to eat.  So breakfast was melons and fruit yoghurt.

A couple of hours later, I was starving, I’m usually one of those people who have proteins or something quite substantial for breakfast, a few pieces of melons just didn’t cut it.  Snack was capsicum with cottage cheese, at first I thought the capsicums were quite sweet, but then I got bored and just ate the cottage cheese and left the capsicums.

Lunch was a chicken salad wrap, not bad at all…but needed salt, the recipes doesn’t call for any salt, but I need salt so I salted heavily.  After lunch I hoed into some mini oreos, some Movenpick tiramisu ice-cream and some homemade butterscotch sauce.  They were calling out to me…but honestlly, I wasn’t hungry…I just wanted to clear it out of my house. For the remaining 20 days of my diet, you see.

By 5:30pm, I was hungry again, so I cooked dinner, lamb chops with some chickpea and pumpkin salad.  I was very surprised, it was very tasty…something I would cook over and over again.  Once again, they didn’t specify salt, and I added it…but overall, the meal was satisfying and yummy.

I’m excited to do the next day – without cheating!  So far, this has been the easiest diet I’ve tried (not including Jenny Craig where food is prepared for you etc).
